EV roadside assistance in Broomfield means a charge or a 12-volt jump at the car. US-36 and I-25 are the usual places it happens. This city is its own county, not a slice of Adams. The operators we connect you with bring a charge to the car.
Broomfield runs its own map
Broomfield became a city and county in 2001. It was carved from Adams, Boulder, Jefferson, and Weld. The help you call here is working Broomfield, not Adams dispatch. That’s the local fact most trip apps still blur. Our Broomfield EV charging guide covers the city at street level.
Why the pack runs down on this commute
Most Broomfield homes are newer, and a lot of people charge in the garage. Barely a fifth of the housing here was built before 1980. The calls we match are road calls, not driveway calls.
US-36, the Boulder Turnpike, drains range in stop-and-go both ways. Winter and those exposed stretches make a stationary commute costly in miles. Interlocken and FlatIron Crossing add long office and retail sits. The Northwest Parkway is a toll road across the north. Shoulder room there is tight, so a stall feels worse. I-25 clips the east edge toward Thornton and Westminster. This north-metro I-25 piece is for a stall on that freeway.
Neighborhoods in play include Anthem, Broadlands, McKay Landing, Interlocken, Wildgrass, and Arista. Westminster EV roadside assistance is the next city south of that I-25 clip. If you’re on the Turnpike itself, this US-36 roadside note walks the next moves.
What the operator brings to the car
We don’t install, charge, or tow anything ourselves. Charge Pro DEN matches you with independent local mobile rescue operators. The operator quotes you before they start, then bills you directly.
They bring a 240V Level 2 source to the car. A Tesla takes the native NACS plug on that truck. Non-Tesla EVs use a CCS or J1772 adapter. A session typically adds 10 to 20 miles. That’s 15 to 30 minutes of charging time, not travel time.
If the screens are dark and the pack still shows miles, it’s the 12-volt. The operator can jump or replace that battery on site. They handle Tesla and every major EV brand. See mobile EV charging and EV roadside assistance for how that call works.
What CDOT can do, and what it can’t
CDOT Safety Patrol covers I-25 South from 120th Avenue to Arapahoe Road. Weekday Front Range hours run 6:00 to 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. Weekend Front Range hours run 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Those trucks jump a 12-volt, change a tire, and clear debris. CDOT’s own pages mention nothing about charging a stranded EV.
US-36 express lanes were built with a minimum 8-foot outside shoulder. Move to that right shoulder and leave the hazards on. CRS 42-4-1202 lets a truly disabled vehicle sit there. Abandoned-vehicle rules under CRS 42-4-1803 have no published hour clock. An officer decides that on reasonable grounds, not a timer. The Northwest Parkway’s own roadside number isn’t confirmed here. Don’t wait on a number we couldn’t verify from a primary page.
Power at home is a split franchise
Xcel Energy holds a Broomfield franchise through 2027. United Power still serves portions, street by street. Confirm the utility by address before you blame the wall box. Xcel lists EV Accelerate At Home and the EV Home Wiring Rebate. United Power publishes United EV and the EV Make-Ready Wiring Rebate. Rebate dollar amounts aren’t verified here, so check the utility.
If you’re already on the shoulder
Keep hazards on and stay out of the travel lane. Colorado has no separate statute for a dead EV. The same disabled-vehicle rules cover you as any other car. If the pack is empty, you want a charge in place. If the car won’t wake, you want a 12-volt check first. A longer walkthrough is in Your EV stalled in Broomfield. Call (720) 738-6950 to be matched with a local operator. That operator quotes you before any charging starts.
